Hope you’re having a great week!
Today started out super ️ sunny and now it’s suddenly a downpour! My, how quickly things can change…
So, back to the question, are restaurants your enemy?
In a word…NO!
“Good eats” outside the home can be “healthy eats”, including fast food!
Many people think you MUST eat at home to stay healthy.
The truth is you can eat whole foods on-the-go just as easily as you can buy junk food for home.
In fact, check out this from a new place in town, Pita Mediterranean! #WholeFoodsGood
Featured below, it’s grilled chicken kabobs, hummus with cilantro, & grilled zucchini!
Here are some things to keep in mind when eating out:
- You have choices! Most restaurants (including fast food) have healthy options. Think grilled chicken! Some fast food places even have broccoli or apples as a side option!
- Portion sizes matter. Many times food portions obtained on-the-go (especially sit down restaurants) are twice as big (if not more) as you may need. So, just take some home for another meal! You’re not a turkey, so don’t stuff yourself too full!
- You can request customization. Remove this, add that, etc.! Just ask! Don’t eat junk when you can just leave it off.
- Food is also sold at grocery stores! Whole foods are available at most grocery stores in the deli/bakery section. Just stay away from the pastries (unless it’s leg day)!
I know you’ve found these tips helpful, and I’d love to help you more!
